Window Casing Before And After

This is one of my favorite before & after pictures i’ve ever taken of my work. it shows you just how much potential any generic room has when you remove the builder-grade door and window trim and baseboards and replace them with layers of simple moldings.. Attached is a before and after photo of a bathroom window i recently completed in my spec built home. this is just the beginning as i plan on a room by room molding make over. thanks again for your help.. Before and after photos from burr roofing, siding, & windows - siding. serving greater fairfield, litchfield, new haven, and middlesex counties, darien, norwalk, westport. natural clay, paired with white aluminum trim. the preexisting window sills were rotting, along with multiple pieces of window trim. burr suggested the sills and trim be.

I've nailed the rake trim on top of the siding before. it's a quick way to finish it all out. i assume when flashing around a window they handle that when they run the siding. once it's sided and flashed properly they just nail a trim board over it. i like doing it in the rakes like rob suggested.. Facelifts for homes. before and after transformations. added portico, stone and sidewalk. before and after by mary lou. window casings - similar to the door casings, maybe add 1 horizontal piece at the bottom of the header a while back, we posted about how to do {diy door casings}…the easy way .. Remove window stool: if the existing window stool doesn’t extend past the drywall on each side by the width of the new wood casing plus 1/2”, remove it and the apron molding under it by cutting through the caulking with a utility knife, then using a pry bar and hammer to take it out..
